Evaporation and vacuum equipment strips solvents from extracts at low temperature, so heat-sensitive compounds survive the process. What does a vacuum controller add?

It holds the vacuum at the boiling point of the solvent you are using, which stops bumping and foaming, improves solvent recovery and lets you repeat the same method reliably run after run.

Which vacuum pump handles corrosive solvents?

A PTFE diaphragm pump resists corrosive vapour and runs without oil. Water circulation pumps are a low-cost option for general use, but change their water regularly when working with organic solvents.
